Trelawney, a traditional artisan Cornish farmhouse cheese, from a small family run farm on the North Cornish Coast, which has been naturally mould ripened and has a beautifully balanced citrus flavour with a creamy texture. The Trelawney has a unique edible pink/grey rind grown only in their maturing rooms!

Winner of a Two Star Gold Award at the Great Taste Awards in 2014 and 2013, a Silver at the British Cheese Awards 2013 and a  Gold at the British Cheese Awards 2011 and a Silver in the World Cheese Awards 2011 and 2012 – One to definitely try!

Based near Bude, North Cornwall, Whalesborough Cheeses began making their award winning cheese in 1999 in a disused stable on Whalesborough Farm using their own milk.  Nowadays they no longer milk their own cows but use local dairy farmers to supply milk for their new purpose built modern dairy and maturing rooms. Being sustainable they use no plastic in the wrapping of the cheeses and the whey from the cheese is fed back to their pigs or is anaerobically digested to produce methane.  All the electricity on the farm is provided by Norton Barton's 330kw wind turbine.

Why not try their other cheeses, the fabulous pungent Keltic Gold and the superbly creamy Cornish Smuggler?  These cheese can be bought online or in our shop in South Street, South Molton where we have an every expanding range of local, West Country, British and Continental cheeses.  Why not come and visit our historic Pannier Market Town - we are just a short walk from the Square and sell so much more than just cheese!
