Wanting to overcome the lack of semi-soft English blue cheese, apart from Stilton, the Oxford Blue Cheese Co MD, Baron Robert Pouget, produced this lovely cheese in 1994, wanting to rival the imports such as Dolcellate, Cambozola and Fourme D'Ambert, winning Gold at the British Cheese Awards in 2001 and 2003.
Made from pasteurised cow's milk. Suitable for Vegetarians.
