Applewood, a traditional English cheddar, made in Somerset, with a delicate smoky texture, all finished with a dusting of paprika for good measure - a real English treasure!
Applewood cheese was first made in Ilchester, deep in the heart of Somerset, in 1965. Surrounded by miles of lush green grass this cheese has been crafted by people who know a thing or two about cheese! Using the best quality local ingredients, mostly from Somerset, Applewood is made to a traditional hand turned recipe with a delicate smokey flavour and a creamy texture.
A favourite way to eat Applewood? ...... grate over pasta or a baked potato for a lovely smokey cheesy taste, or make up little brushettas with layers of sun-dried tomatoes, smoked turkey and Applewood cheese and just grill!
