Cave Aged Goats Cheddar, a unique cheddar style cheese made from 100% goat's milk and the only one of its kind to be matured in caves in the UK. Cave Aged Goats cheese is a deliciously mild, savoury, firm cheese which is similar to cheddar in texture but with a distinctive, yet subtle, 'goaty' flavour. The cave environment adds yet another dimension to the ageing process. The year round constant 12 degrees centigrade and humidity bestows the cheese with the added benefit of rich, earthy and nutty flavours with caramel top notes.
Pasteurised, Goats Milk
Ford Farm, the makers of the Cave Aged Goats Cheese, use the same artisanal techniques as the Farm's multi-award winning Cave Aged Cheddar, using traditional recipes and methods that date back many centuries. The goats milk is sourced from the local Bromes Farm, whose herd of 1,200 Toggenburgh and Saanen goats now supply Ford Farm exclusively,
